Residents planning to move into the Aven Cottages Territorial Dementia Centre will not have to wait much longer. It is expected residents will move in late March. Our city will be a flurry of activity this weekend. Yellowknife is hosting the Jr Cager basketball tournament, the NWT Badminton Championships, and the NWT Championships swim meet all this weekend. Good luck to all participants!

On February 15 milk containers became part of the NWT Beverage Container Program. Washed and squashed containers are now accepted for return at the bottle depot. Refunds will be 10 cents for 1 litre containers and 25 cents for 2 and 4 litre containers. This initiative is part of the GNWT's Waste Reduction and Recovery Program Expansion.
