How incredible is it that Astronaut Julie Payette is visiting Yellowknife and sharing her stories.  I'm not sure if we have had an astronaut visit our city before?   The coolest part about her visit is she will return a NT rough diamond that was taken to space in 2009.  For more info click here.  Thanks out to Jean for letting me know Astronaut Roberta Bondar visited Yellowknife in the early 90's.

The Government of Canada has ended their ecoEnergy Retrofit Program for Homes but  the Government of the Northwest Territories will continue its program.  The Energy Efficiency Incentive Program (EEIP) has been simplified and expanded.  For details click here.
